The everday life of a respiratory therapy student

Searching for those long lost friends

Posted by thestarved on September 11, 2007

You know what I hate?  I hate it when you make really good friends with people and then you forget their name, can’t find their email adress, and wonder what happened to those people.  I have been looking for some long lost friends and have been unable to find them.  Email adresses mainly.  Not phone numbers.  I don’t think that it is appropriate to call people out of the blue.  The email search engines never seem to help.  Oh well I guess it is as an old lady used to say ,”Untill we meet again.”  I have another test today.  Pulmonary A & P.  It was the test that I thought I wasn’t studying for yesterday.  Yesterday’s test was patient assesment and that class is pretty easy.  My final on that is tommorrow.  The only thing that I don’t like is putting my hands on a stranger.  I know that is something that I have to get over if I am going to be a respiratory therapist, but it is just awkward.  I think that I am feeling better about that know.  Uggh the first time was really awful.  It was taking blood pressure.  Yeah, I think that I am getting over it now.  Pretty soon I will have to stick people to practice taking arterial blood gases and I will probably faint but who knows.

Pretend is your brother or someone you really love…it will get easier. Everyone just wants a bit of kindness and contact.
